Larry FrenockLarry Frenock has been with Gretna Theatre since the 2006 season, producing the PA premiere of Moonlight and Magnolias,  Cole, Count Dracula, Big River, The Miracle Worker, the PA premiere of Mack the Knife: The Life and Music of Bobby Darin, Made In America: Irving Berlin, The Sunshine Boys, Fiddler on the Roof, Smoke on the Mountain Homecoming, Shenandoah, All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten, The King and I, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Almost Heaven – Songs of John Denver, George M!, Cheaper by the Dozen, Hello, Dolly!, Sally Struthers in the 25th Anniversary production of Nunsense, the regional premiere of The Marvelous Wonderettes, The Will Rogers Follies, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Peter Pan, Mr. Hobbs’ Vacation, Mame and has presented The Man in Black – A Tribute to Johnny CashThree Phantoms in ConcertThe 1959 Dance Party – A Tribute to Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and The Big Bopper and Jett Williams Concert as well as seasons of Theatre for Young Audiences and the first annual (and continuing) Gretna Gala Idol Scholarship Competition.  He came to Gretna Theatre from Stamford Theatre Works in Stamford, CT where he was the Managing Director.  Among the seasons of shows he helped to produced there, he is particularly proud of the world premiere of Fraternity by Steve Karp and the east coast premiere of National Pastime by Bryan Harnetiaux.  His original photographs of both productions were published in the New York Times and have been included in the published script for Fraternity as well.  He was the General Manager of Playhouse on the Green in Bridgeport, CT and Assistant to the Producer at the Darien Dinner Theatre.  Frenock produced and starred in the NYC revival of Jerome Kern’s Leave It to Jane; was the Production Stage Manager for the New York City and world premieres ofSuccess and Succession by Ronald Tavel at Theatre for the New City, I’m in My Arms at Manhattan Theatre Club and The American Rivals for New Directions Theatre Company.  He was the Company Manager at The Millbrook Playhouse, PA, and the Production Stage Manager at Forestburgh Playhouse, NY.  He is happy to have appeared in the first Gretna Theatre Valentine’s Weekend Concert in 2011.  Larry has appeared in plays, films, television commercials, corporate videos and musicals all over the United States, including the Off-Broadway musical Mack the Knife, the Life and Music of Bobby Darin.

In his “spare” time, he is his family’s genealogist and archivist and produces a family newsletter sent ‘round the world.  Frenock is also an avid amateur figure skater and has won five gold medals at the U.S. Adult National Figure Skating Championships over the past several years.
